This is a temporary role, backfilling an employee who is moving onto an internal project. The role is paying between $63,000-$78,000 per annum.
The core objective of this role is to manage and support the centralized accounts payable function on behalf of the Rochester Factory and remote Factory Stores. The scope of the work will include ensuring the efficient administration of Accounts Payables activities, such as processing and payment of invoices in a timely fashion, proper matching of purchasing and receiving documents as well as discrepancy resolution, correct distribution to general ledger expense accounts, timely and accurate payments, and month-end closing. To manage and mentor the Accounts Payable team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processing ACH and Wire transfers as well as manual checks. Providing the appropriate backup for management approval and payment.
- Generate vendor aging report to determine payment requirements and schedule on a weekly basis.
- Generate and distribute unassigned expense report to managers for follow-up with their employees.
- Setting up new vendor accounts. Making sure that the appropriate paperwork has been completed.
- Prepare month-end close entries and reports, including intercompany recharges, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations.
- Manage freight invoices and prepare relevant spreadsheets for distribution to management.
- Provide backup to Accounting Manager when needed.
Qualifications- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
- Minimum five years experience in accounting field, preferably focused in Accounts Payable processing/management, with minimum one year in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs.
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.
