We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, capital projects, standard costing, global and site inventory, and special projects as assigned. The selected candidate will work onsite at our Indianapolis manufacturing facility to collaborate with Value Stream managers, Materials, Procurement, Engineering, and Global inventory teams. They will also partner with Global Operations Finance colleagues to drive continuous improvements in forecasting and reporting activities.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Indianapolis facility’s monthly close, forecast, budget and daily support activities related to inventory, direct material variances, in-bound freight, SG&A Departments, and related expenses.
- Reconciling Indianapolis inventory accounts on a monthly basis and sustaining low inventory aging balances (WIP, Receiving, and In-transit) through business partnership while preparing quarterly Excess, Obsolete and Expired inventory, reserve analysis for the facility and FG Consumables.
- Supporting cycle count process at the facility including daily management updates, cycle count compliance and monthly analysis, reserve analysis and submission to corporate.
- Assisting with the annual Direct Materials standards setting process for the facility and establishing Indianapolis new inventory item cost setting.
- Creating new reporting for continuous process improvement and assisting with special projects as requested.
The required qualifications for the job include:
- B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration or similar field required, MBA, CMA or CPA a plus and 3-5 years of experience in finance and accounting with increasing levels of responsibility and emphasis on forecasting, planning, analysis, inventory reserve, cycle counting, inventory planning, and producing accurate financial and operational metrics.
- Cost accounting knowledge and familiarity with Oracle manufacturing systems is desired.
- Excellent communication (both oral and written), presentation and people skills needed for cross-functional scope of role.
- Candidate must be meticulous with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and complete assignments quickly and accurately with strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint) required.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- CPA or CMA
- Power BI a plus
