Job Summary:
Under the direction and supervision of the department management, the senior financial analyst is responsible for complex tasks in various financial functions including analyzing and consolidating financial results for reporting to senior level management, productivity analysis and reporting, preparing financial and statistical reports, budgeting, auditing and analysis. Requires good communication and customer service skills, professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking skills.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other related field required.
Healthcare finance experience preferred.

- Problem solving/analytical skills to assess operational needs and facilitate the implementation of processes, protocols and tools to meet the identified needs.

- A data storyteller that is responsible for analyzing data, mapping how the metrics are connected, and presenting the insights in an informative way.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of standard Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerBI, and PowerPoint) and other software/technology tools to support reporting, analysis, presentations and automated trending.
- Experience in managing priorities and organizing work structures in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills to manage relationships and collaborate with all levels of management to include department directors and colleagues with varying professional backgrounds in the resolution of charge/revenue issues.
- Ability to mentor effectively.
- Performance of duties under minimal supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
- Creates and maintains for organization-wide deployment, productivity monitoring and labor resource evaluation tools to be used by leadership.
- Develops and/or maintains reports to identify various metrics as defined by leadership or needed for departmental monitoring.
- Works directly or indirectly with Hospital Finance, organization-wide leadership and other areas to provide data, reports, assistance with projects or audits, to correct problems or enhance services.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple projects. Can form detailed project plans, develop scope of projects, identify and collaborate with necessary internal/external stakeholders to ensure successful projects are executed among affected areas.
- Can lead individuals and teams effectively through change of processes, technology and align appropriate resources necessary to ensure successful program/project outcomes.
- Develops effective relationships among internal/external stakeholders, colleagues and staff in order to build trust and lead individuals/teams through change initiatives.
- Documents results of all special project work and provides recommendations for opportunities related to special projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
