Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that support them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learning that meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focus on integrated autism care and a play-based model of applied behavior analysis (ABA) based on the principles of the Early Start Denver Model.
This exciting opportunity is designed for individuals who are actively in their coursework to become a BCBA and are accruing practicum hours. The Case Supervisor role is intended to prepare an individual to be a successful BCBA upon completing their hours and passing their exam. The role will report to the Partner Clinician at the team member’s specific clinic.
This role is in-person in the Phoenix Metro Area, and qualified candidates will currently live in the area or be willing to relocate.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as a case supervisor for 3-4 client cases (15-20 hours/week)
- Update client goals and programming, utilizing our electronic data collection platform
- Provide direct supervision to a team of RBTs
- Participate in ESDM specific trainings, growing your clinical skillset
- Write Behavior Intervention Plans, utilizing the Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) and Skill Based Treatment (SBT)
- Conduct Family Treatment Guidance meetings and support, utilizing Soar’s in-house curriculum
- Conduct and write assessment reports for new clients and re-assessments, including training on the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and the ESDM Curriculum Checklist
- Receive coaching and feedback from Partner Clinician and other BCBAs in your clinic
- Be a part of the Soar integrated care team, participating in interdisciplinary meetings with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Psychologists
- Conduct direct client therapy (20-25 hours/week)
Who You Are:
- Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program for ABA
- Be within ~400-600 hours (or less) of completing all practicum hours to be eligible to sit for the BCBA Exam
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills
- Demonstrate excellent skills in building rapport and trust with families
- Demonstrate emerging skills in case conceptualization and client programming
- Demonstrate emerging skills in coaching and supervising RBTs
- Desire to learn and grow and accept feedback
