This position is responsible for originating and qualifying mortgage loan applicants, initiating compliance procedures, and marketing products and services to solicit new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meets with loan applicants to gather personal information and answer questions about mortgage loan products
- Obtains and verifies financial information in order to conduct analysis used in evaluating loan applications
- Enters a decision on loans within established mortgage lending guidelines; documents decision analysis and properly communicates with customer on next steps
- Facilitates the closing process which includes scheduling with involved parties, communicating requirements, and presenting closings
- Actively conducts business development activities including establishing relationships with Realtors and builders, and monitoring existing portfolio
- Recommends other Primebank products and services to mortgage customers
Education and Experience
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Two or more years of mortgage origination or processing experience
- Able to complete NMLS license
