We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Planning Analyst that will be responsible for overseeing Voltera's financial planning and analysis. This role will provide accurate financial forecasts, budgeting, financial modeling, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and drive financial performance. The Sr. FP&A Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, adaptable, forward-thinking, and passionate about sustainability.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Lead the development, implementation, and execution of comprehensive financial planning and forecasting processes, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Conduct financial analysis to assess the financial health of the organization, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and financial performance metrics. Identify areas of improvement and work with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making, including financial projections, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis. Provide recommendations on business strategies, investments, and other financial initiatives based on modeling results.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders. Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to facilitate decision-making.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop budgets, track performance against budget, and provide analysis on budget variances.
- Implement expense management strategies to optimize costs and improve profitability.
- Collaborate with all departments to align financial objectives with overall business goals and provide cross-functional support and to ensure financial discipline and accountability.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
MUST-HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related.
- 5-8+ years of progressive corporate finance experience including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent financial acumen and understanding of financial statements, key financial metrics, and financial concepts.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting using financial software and tools.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present financial information to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and quickly adapt to changing business requirements.
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- 3+ years in Investment Banking building financial models with 3-statement expertise
- Experience at a Big 4 as a Quality of Earnings diligence expert
- Experience in the following industries: Investment Banking, EV/EVSE, Solar, Wind, Energy Storage, Construction, or Real Estate
- MBA or CFA
LOCATION:
Compensation ($95,000 to $125,000): Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Our total compensation package includes the base salary and competitive benefits.
