Position Description
Essential Functions
- Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provision.
- Provide support for multiple state filings and answer inquiries from state and local taxing jurisdictions.
- Coordinate with accounting team to provide tax-related documents to external partners for preparation of tax returns and assist in the review, payment, and filing of federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns.
- Perform tax planning and research activities in connection with business transactions, changing tax rules, and changing business processes.
- Manage/Review the reporting process of monthly sales & use tax filings and exemption certificates, personal property tax filings, state and local business licenses, etc.
- Assist external firm with compiling transfer pricing documentation for yearly transfer pricing reports.
- Ensure the organization is current with changing tax obligations and contact tax agencies to apply for and set up new tax IDs as necessary.
- Develop and maintain global tax calendar to include all tax types, due dates, and opportunities.
- Serve as an active and valued partner across all business functions regarding tax matters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

Days and hours of work are established between the employee and the supervisor.
Travel
Minimum business travel is expected for this position.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 2+ years of experience in a tax-focused role preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, and other general office environment software.
- Excellent analytical, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Education and Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- CPA license preferred but not required. Masters in Tax preferred.
- Preferred experience in state and local taxation.
- Preferred experience in tax provision.
- Familiarity with partnership taxation preferred.
- Experience with tax research tools preferred.
