Business Analyst, Amazon Box Truck Network (ABTN)
Amazon Box Truck Network (ABTN) organization within Middle Mile works with tech to build complex software solutions that work across our partners, vendors, warehouses, and carriers to optimize both time & cost of package delivery. As a Business Analyst, ABTN, you will interact with many of Amazon’s most complex systems to synthesize data and compile valuable insights. Those findings will be the genesis for metrics and scalable mechanisms that will fuel new opportunities to improve customer experience, reduce transportation costs, and make our network safer and more sustainable. The person in this position will make a material impact bridging collective efforts between multiple stakeholders. This position will be responsible to expose failure points within our current systems and dive deep into data, processes, and systems to understand and explain outliers. The Business Analyst will embrace the challenge of parsing ambiguity in data, simplifying complexity and expanding their experience communicating insightful narratives to drive change.
This requires excellent business acumen and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with leaders to develop and define key business questions. This role also requires critical analytical thinking and the willingness to dive deep.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform complex data research to identify opportunities to reduce fulfillment and transportation costs
- Support business decisions with well thought out data narratives
- Design, develop, and establish metrics to provide strategic insights
- Systematically identify failure points and follow through on resolutions to ensure compliance
- Pull and report data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL, and/or other data management systems)
- Utilize known research and problem-solving techniques to deep dive data issues
- Communicate complex insights to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
- Requires 10% travel
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
- Experience with SQL
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
