Purpose of the Role:

The Business Analyst role will document product feature requirements, develop a framework for KPIs/OKRs, and support pricing and profitability analysis for the product portfolio across full truckload, less than truckload (LTL), and cross border. The role includes a performance of analytics on current and prospective clients related to freight pricing, optimization, carrier mix, time in transit, and ad hoc reporting requests. The role will also support preparing client RFPs, creating reports to measure KPIs, as well as conducting detailed analytical work on General Rate Increases. The Business Analyst requires outward leadership skills, advanced Excel knowledge, data analytics, and strong collaboration with platform, technical, operations, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather product and feature requirements from stakeholders to publish business requirements documents for review with Platform and Technical teams.
- Develop and implement market competitive freight pricing for new and existing clients according to overall company strategies.
- Develop process flows, establish SOPs, document in the repository, and drive opportunities to automate/streamline the existing experience.
- Analyze freight data to predict and report on revenue, cost, and margin trends.
- Query multiple data sources to aggregate data for reporting and analysis.
- Optimize pricing based on market conditions, client needs and shipping profile.
- Analyze existing and potential new business opportunities.
- Work with internal teams to develop company pricing strategies.
- Develop business proposals and bid responses to support sales presentations.
- Establish a process to monitor that all pricing rates from Pricing teams are accurate and reflect proper margins.
- Other duties as assigned that support the sales, management, and operations teams.
Required experience & skills:- 3 to 5 years of experience in business analyses, pricing, and/or freight brokerage.
- The ideal candidate should have TL/LTL experience or in transportation operations with an understanding of pricing and costing functions.
- Strong financial business acumen with an understanding of revenue, cost, and margin dynamics.

- Effective and concise communication.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate well with multiple teams.

- Availability to work in Salt Lake City, Utah (hybrid).
