Centred around the villages of Little and Great Thurlow, the Thurlow Estate is a family-owned rural property business extending to approximately 15,500 acres. It includes an in-hand arable farm, let agricultural land, woodland, cottages, commercial lets, and an in-hand family shoot.
The Estate is situated within close proximity to the facilities of Cambridge, on the Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Essex borders, and within easy reach of the UK’s wider road and rail network, including rail links into London Liverpool Street and King’s Cross, and nearby to Stansted airport.
The role, based at the Estate Office in Great Thurlow, will involve all aspects of running a progressive rural estate and form a key part of the core estate management team committed to driving the business forward and providing a first-class service to the Family. Under the direction of the Estate Director and supported by the Property Administrator, the individual will be given responsibility and authority for the day-to-day management of the let property portfolio, be given responsibility for other key estate matters, as well as the chance to lead on a variety of strategic projects. We are therefore seeking someone with an ambitious nature who shows initiative and is keen to demonstrate their capabilities.
- MRICS or CAAV qualified with a proven track record in rural estate management. Candidates with relevant experience without qualifications will also be considered. For the right candidate, training can be provided for recently qualified individuals.
