Provides analysis to help build out product strategy recommendations to division and department leadership based on research, performance data and competitor actions. Responsible for researching competitor products and developing tools and analytics that support the Product team’s multi-year roadmap and growth and profitability goals.
Compensation: Minimum: $67,000 / year | Maximum: $111,000 / year

Primary Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and update tools to extract, transform and analyze data, automate processes, and provide actionable insights.
- Analyze and provide information to leadership/management that will affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis.
- Develop reports, visualizations, analysis, or recommended strategies related to rate reviews, product development, product language, underwriting guidelines, processes, and agent business practices.
- Analyze information and present opportunities to improve product or business practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with Product to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Provide training and support to Product team members on newly developed tools and applications.
- Research latest techniques and best practices in data analysis and business application development.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with demonstrated success as a data analyst, product analyst or comparable data analytics related position.
- Proficient in data analytics programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, etc.
- Demonstrated expertise with modern BI toolsets such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent.
- Proficient in extracting and leveraging data out of data warehouse, transactional databases, object stores & API based environments.
- Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills as well as an aptitude and drive to learn new technologies and analysis techniques.
- Strong team player; able to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization.
- Prior experience in property and casualty insurance is a plus, but not essential.
