Job Description
The Chief Investment Office, Capital Formation Analyst will work alongside the capital formation team responsible for creating financial models relating to the Performing Credit business and performing financial analysis and reporting for potential investments, structured financing, and strategic transactions. As a result of the breadth of these responsibilities, candidates will develop a unique understanding of advanced financial modelling, capital markets, credit structures and portfolio investment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of debt financings and structuring for Blackstone Credit & Insurance, including drafting proposals, committee materials, and portfolio analytics
- Conduct financial analysis for potential investment opportunities, through market benchmarking, fund economics, and investment strategy
- Assist in all phases of a transaction, from initial outreach through final execution, for private and public financing solutions
- Prepare ad-hoc materials for senior management/investment committee review
- Actively monitor performance of existing financing / structured investment vehicles, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and senior management
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to project future liability needs based on various scenarios and assumptions
- Collaborate with the team in proactively managing our rating agency partnerships
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on data, reporting, risk, and compliance related matters
- Market research and competitor analysis across numerous structures (BDCs, closed end funds, CLOs) and markets (public and private corporate credit, asset-backed credit, etc.)
- Prepare quarterly reporting packages for external use

Expected annual base salary range:
$110,000 – $110,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
