POSITION OVERVIEW
- The Director, Operational Accounting will support with SAP implementation for a company. This role will work closely with IT organization, core super users, Finance organization in the company and other cross-functional partners. This role will be a key player in cut-over process to ensure financial accuracy and operational continuity. The role will act as core super user for AP/AR and Trade to ensure processes are documented, change impacts are addressed and training is finalized. This role will also support Sr. Director AO to ensure shared services set-up is defined, including roles and responsibilities.
- Additional responsibilities will involve process evaluation and enhancement to optimize AR/AP operations, including establishing policies, internal controls, departmental KPIs and process improvements to ensure all transactions are processed accurately and timely. The role will also be key partner with HighRadius team to stabilize and optimize system performance.
- This is a fully remote position in the eastern time zone.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the implementation of Globe, being a key player with IT Finance team and being a liaison between Business stakeholders and IT organization to secure a smooth implementation.
- Work with Sr. Director to strengthen finance governance process that includes update of weekly scorecards, set-up of workshops, monthly updates from different Finance functions.
- Key player for cut-over process to ensure ledger accuracy and minimal impact to business operations.
- Work with Sr. Director to recommend shared services set-up/interaction with Company, roles and responsibilities and establish clear ways of working.
- Help in the documentation of key processes, including cut-over, trainings, business impacts.
- Become core super user for AP/AR and Trade management, to become go-to contact for IT, business owners and other cross-functional partners.
- Responsible for ad hoc projects, including AP supplier financing.
- Supports strategy for transaction processing efficiencies and leads implementation of new processes and system functionalities for AR, AP and Deductions teams.
- Supports in the update of management reporting metrics to ensure teams are functioning effectively.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum eight years’ experience, with at least three years in a management role, with strong agility and leadership skills.
- Ideal candidate is results focused, a self-starter, naturally inquisitive, able to think independently and has a desire to make a difference.
- Strong financial and analytical skills; ability to draw conclusions from information and develop recommendations.
- Ability to lead change and execute on strategic decisions, buy-in from key stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively and professionally in written and verbal form, including presentation skills.
- Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint a must.
- Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
- Experience with Oracle Accounting systems, High Radius and Globe is a plus.
- Confirmed ability to design financial & non-financial measurements and key performance indicators to drive improved business performance.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting /Finance preferred.
- Previous experience on Strategic Planning or related Business Analysis role; previous food industry or CPG experience a plus.
- Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and/or International Accounting Standards (IAS), knowledge of Company’s Accountings Standards a plus.
- Working knowledge of financial concepts and principles including cost accounting, cash flow, NPV, ROI, etc.
