PURPOSE OF POSITION: The HOA Accountant at Deer Valley Resort is responsible for managing the financial operations of the Homeowners Associations under Management. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and homeowners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Financial Management: Oversee all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with the HOA's financial goals.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for the HOA board and management.
- Auditing: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assessment Collection: Manage the collection of HOA dues and assessments, including follow-up on delinquent accounts.
- Communication: Provide clear and accurate financial information to homeowners, board members, and management.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, an HOA, or property management setting.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
PAY RATE:- Pay: $67,500 - 75,000 per year
