Role: Corporate Senior Accountant
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Vice President of Finance
Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Corporate Senior Accountant to join our team. This dual-role position will oversee all financial operations of the organization while also managing detailed accounting functions. The ideal candidate will understand financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance, driving accuracy and efficiency throughout our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
- Direct and manage all accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, and Inventory Accounting.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidation of financial data.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Coordinate and prepare regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Research and address technical accounting issues as they arise, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
Financial Strategy:
- Provide comprehensive financial updates and insights to senior management, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and budgets that align with the organization’s goals.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and enhance financial operations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process and compliance with all requirements.
Accounting Management:
- Maintain records for prepaid and fixed assets and oversee reconciliations of cash and intercompany accounts.
- Support the payroll process and ensure accurate reporting and compliance with payroll regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience, including GAAP and GL accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams, fostering collaboration and driving performance to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills - experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
