Kinetik employees have decades of experience in West Texas and provide all the important services our customers need to deliver gas and crude oil production to market, which include gathering, transportation, compression, processing and produced water management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will assist in the preparation and filing of our external financial reports with the SEC and other financial institutions, assist in the preparation of certain internal financial reports, help maintain our accounting policies and analyze emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC accounting and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K (earnings releases, etc.) with the SEC.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of required financial statements to applicable banking institutions.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly CODM packet and other internal reports
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the company's financial statements in accordance with the U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards, including preparing financial statements, drafting disclosures and MD&A for both annual and quarterly financial statements.
- Prepare the quarterly and annual SEC and other statutory reporting items with appropriate calendar, including coordination with external auditors, executives, finance, legal and investor relations departments, for the non-financial sections of SEC Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K, review XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes.
- Maintain appropriate internal controls surrounding the preparation and filing of SEC documents.
- Stay current on all U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements and proactively analyze emerging accounting and reporting trends and their implications to Kinetik.
- Assist with accounting for complex technical accounting matters, including carrying out research and documentation for a variety of complete and non-standard transactions (i.e mergers and acquisitions, debt offerings, and adoption of new standards).
- Continuously work to enhance and streamline reporting processes and controls.
- Assist in the management of the Company’s lease portfolio and associated lease accounting software.
- Complete tie-out and support binders for all public filings
- Assist with management of all controls certifications and internal management representation letters
- Assist with the quarterly disclosure committee, audit committee and board of director meeting decks
- Coordinate with both internal and external auditors.
- Partner with other teams / departments on special projects and ad-hoc requests.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of prior SEC reporting or other relevant experience
- CPA Preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel, and ability to navigate through accounting/treasury applications
- Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines, while maintain a high level of detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to produce high quality emails and messages to individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong U.S. GAPP, SEC regulatory acumen, technical accounting knowledge, and understanding of financial reporting requirements
- Proficiency with Workiva, CCH and or other related accounting research tools
- Ability and desire to work in fast paced business
- Able to work with minimal supervision, works well individually and on teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
- Occasional driving may be needed to travel to Kinetik plants and worksites as needed
- Available outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessity

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above
- Will require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 15 lbs. in a safe manner on an occasional basis
