Here’s the opportunity:
Bosch Home Comfort is currently seeking an experienced Heating / Air Conditioning Service Specialist 2 to support customers/contractors in the US. This role has been categorized as a remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Depending on an applicant’s geographic location, working hours can fall between 8 AM - 7 PM EST (8-hour shift).
Successful candidates will have strong experience with water source heat pumps, air-to-air heat pumps, boilers, A/C, and mini-split equipment. This position requires a person that is customer-focused with HVAC experience and is adaptable to the changing needs of our expanding business. This is a great opportunity to use your field service knowledge in a remote setting supporting Bosch Home Comfort’s complete line of heating, cooling, and hot water products.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide phone and email-based troubleshooting and applications assistance to contractors, dealers, engineers, architects, and homeowners on hydronic heating, forced hot air, domestic hot water, air-conditioning, and heat pumps.
- Work with product management, quality, risk assessment, warranty, and return departments to provide overall support for Bosch Home Comfort products.
- Represent the business in complaint resolution or technical investigation when required, with feedback on root cause analysis.
- Start and maintain computer-based electronic records of calls. Answer departmental emails.
- Review technical materials to verify its correctness. Support new product introductions by assisting in the development of departmental technical documents and/or technical videos.
- Provide troubleshooting and applications support internally to Customer Service Team and outside sales representatives.
- Provide peer-level support developing others in areas of technical expertise.
- Home-based for daily work, local site visits when needed.
- Minimal travel inside and outside of the USA for training or service work.
- Assist the business in continuous improvement projects.
- Work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HVAC experience in one or more of the following: Air-to-Air Heat pumps, Water source Heat Pumps, Geothermal (residential or commercial).
- 3+ years of work experience in two or more of the following: Air-Conditioning circuits, air conditioning, compressors, controls, ground loops, domestic hot water systems, oil and gas installation and service, boiler, controls, fuel combustion, heat exchange/transfer, fluid transfer, fresh air, and exhaust systems.
- 2+ years of MS Office experience.
- High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tankless hot water, hydronic boilers, and warm air furnaces.
- Experience with retention oil burners.
- Experience with system piping, hydronics, venting, and wiring.
- NATE certification, oil or gas license.
- EPA certification.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative, customer orientation, communication skills, and ability to function as a member of a team.
- Strong phone and writing skills.
- A positive attitude and mindset to achieve individual and departmental goals.
- Organization, attention to detail, and an overall sense of urgency and ownership.
- Good typing skills.
