Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be supporting the Sentinel program in the SDS Division at our facility located in Roy, UT.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with business management and project management staff to develop an integrated program measurement baseline to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program.
- Perform Schedule risk analyses and work with the program manager to resolve risky schedules, critical path issues, and network logic conflicts.
- Perform thorough project analysis through metrics reviews and predictive analysis to enhance cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
- Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
- Participating in month-end Earned Value reporting close activities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 13 years of related professional experience. 19+ years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
- Experience with MS Project, P6 Primavera, Deltek Open Plan, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Deltek Acumen, or other Schedule Risk Assessment software tools.
- Experience working in Microsoft Project Server Environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel.
- Experience in the Aerospace/Defense Industry.
- Experience with Excel including Macro/VBA
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret/Top Secret/SCI (SSBI) security clearance (with the investigation in the past 6 years).
- Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling.
- 8+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Experience with Schedule Analytics and Schedule Risk Assessment tools.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical ability.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $129,500 - $194,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
