Dunmor is a direct lender for residential and multifamily real estate investors. We specialize in senior debt financing with products such as bridge loans, value-add loans, new construction loans, and permanent portfolio loans for our borrowers nationwide. As a FinTech commercial lender in rapid-growth mode, our differentiation strategy is employing technological integration into all our processes to enable an efficient lending experience for both our clients and our internal team. With deep capital partners and institutional investment backing, we are looking to originate $1b in loans over the next 12 months.
Dunmor is an entrepreneurial company, and this position will lead efforts on Origination and Fund Accounting, Corporate Transaction Accounting, and general Corporate Accounting. This role requires someone who has recent experience in Business Purpose Lending. Responsibilities:
- Apply necessary Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) standards applicable to the Business Purpose Lending environment.
- Establish financial and operating benchmarks and reporting standards for all stakeholders.
- Create and maintain applicable Policies and Procedures and Documentation.
- Develop, evaluate, and maintain internal controls in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, treasury, etc. to maximize protection of company assets.
- Maintain reporting systems ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage monthly closing process including preparation of variance explanations and report generation.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 10+ years in accounting.
- Recent experience in the Business Purpose Lending industry required.
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment where problem-solving capabilities matter so business can scope and structure work.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Skilled in collaborating across a start-up environment with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
