JOB DESCRIPTION:
Shifts available:
Tuesday - Saturday 10am-6:30pm
Sunday - Thursday 10am-6:30pm
Education Level:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field is required. Master's degree preferred.
Years of Experience:
Five years of related crisis experience is required; Two years as a trainer in crisis intervention is preferred.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This is a remote position on a 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. This position will monitor live interactions and provide audits for electronic crisis interactions. This position will also facilitate staff debriefings where emergency services were dispatched and review all imminent risk cases within 72 hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides quality assurance measures to include chat/text audits and silent monitoring of all Crisis Specialist staff.
- Reviews all emergency service interactions within 72 hours and facilitates staff debriefings on high-risk interactions.
- Identifies and implements continuous quality improvement projects in clinical performance.
- Develops and implements an audit process ensuring compliance across various functions.
- Assists in planning staff meetings, staff trainings, and staff development functions based on QA and national trends.
- Participates in development and maintenance of training course content to ensure clinical best practice.
- Assists in orientation, operational and clinical training of new staff.
- Answers crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs.
- Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditations.
- Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training and team meetings.
- Assists in administrative tasks as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
- Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette.
- Demonstrate knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources.
- Knowledge of suicide assessments.
- Skill in providing crisis intervention.
