A law firm seeks an experienced Finance Partner to join its Corporate and Finance practice group in Albany, NY. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in commercial finance transactions, who are looking to grow their client base and enhance business development. Duties:
- Represent clients, including lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and institutional investors, in a range of commercial finance transactions.
- Lead secured and unsecured financing deals, including asset-based finance, cash flow finance, senior and subordinated debt, mezzanine, and leveraged acquisition finance.
- Provide legal counsel on structured finance, private credit, and direct lending transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate key finance-related documents such as loan agreements, inter-creditor agreements, and opinion letters.
- Collaborate across practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions that address clients' needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial finance law.
- Expertise in negotiating and structuring secured and unsecured finance transactions.
- Strong background in commercial mortgage transactions, leveraged acquisitions, cross-border financings, and senior and subordinated debt.
- Experience advising financial institutions, including banks, servicers, and non-traditional lenders.
- Familiarity with U.S. and international finance markets.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (New York).
Skills:
- Strong negotiation, drafting, and legal research skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for managing client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously.
- A collaborative mindset, with a focus on working across practice groups.
