Department Description:
The Internal Audit Department is responsible for providing high quality, independent, audit coverage of ISONE's business and IT processes including the evaluation of the ISONEs system of internal controls, reviewing governance and risk management processes, company-wide risk assessments for the purpose of developing the annual audit work plan, and supporting external audits.
What will you be working on:
In this internship, you will assist the department with performance of internal audit fieldwork, reporting, direct support of the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE 18) testing and System and Organization Controls (SOC 1) report review, as well as administrative tasks such as follow-up of outstanding audit issues.
How will you make an impact:
This position will help manage the annual SSAE 18 engagement and help complete the annual various Finance Department audits. Through this experience, you will learn detailed auditing skills as an external auditor, how to prepare audit workpapers documenting the audit work, and how to manage an audit engagement.
What we look for in a candidate:
- A minimum of 2 years of college education completed in an auditing, accounting and/or business administration program with at least a 3.2 GPA (preferably 3.5 or higher)
- Strong knowledge and experience with office software, preferably Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate attention to thoroughness and accuracy in performing detailed, repetitive tasks
- Strong interpersonal communication
Eligibility:
To be eligible for the internship, candidates must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four-year or graduate-level academic program. Candidates must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship.
