We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. We need someone with 4+ years of hands-on accounting management and financial analysis experience. The day-to-day responsibilities of the position include:
- Assisting with the daily monitoring and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Prepares monthly reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and schedules to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Develop and implement internal controls to improve efficiency
- Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis activities
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Maintains and updates procedure manuals as defined by management
- Works with outside accountants/auditors
Education and Experience:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or a combination of experience, education, and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability
- Must have at least 4 to 5 years of experience in a corporate accounting or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of technical and principles of accounting.
- Proficiency in debits, credits, and general ledger account reconciliation
- Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
