Situated within the Corporate Affairs function, the Senior Analyst, Media Monitoring will report to the Director, CEO Communications and be a critical part of the team leading the external communications strategy to drive PepsiCo’s reputation globally.
This is a hybrid role that can be based in either Purchase, NY or Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
- Media monitoring + coverage reports:
- Lead media monitoring and coverage analysis for external communications team and PepsiCo leadership.
- In collaboration with our media monitoring partners, curate a high-quality daily morning and afternoon news clips report that is sent to senior leaders and other internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate during quarterly earnings to curate and analyze coverage and deliver earnings reports to senior leaders and internal stakeholders.
- Media + crises/issues tracking:
- Track media inquiries and serve as manager of the global media inquiries email box, managing access and directing emails to the appropriate communications leader.
- Support media relations work, as needed, including with quarterly earnings.
- Analysis + reporting:
- Collaborate with our data and insights partners to build media coverage dashboard for key issues.
- Work with our data and insights partners to build daily media coverage dashboards that track identified KPIs.
- Create and deliver monthly report that showcases the Media and Crisis Team’s work.
- Become proficient in RepTrak – our reputation monitoring tool; each month share key highlights with the Media and Crisis Team.
- Media lists + subscriptions:
- Maintain top tier and trade media lists.
- Collaborate to maintain key media outlets subscriptions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required in relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing).
- 3+ years of relevant experience in an agency, global corporate communications/public affairs function and/or media outlet (supervisory or hands-on).
- Demonstrated experience in media coverage analysis and reporting.
- This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.

- Highly responsive, with the ability to maintain effective decision making while working in a global, highly visible, fast-paced environment.
- Avid consumer of media and interest in current events and issues affecting the food & beverage and consumer packaged goods industry is a plus.
- Ability to work, network, and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
- Demonstrated proactive, resourceful, can-do work ethic.
- Proven track record of initiating, organizing, and managing projects effectively and working within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours, as needed.
