What You'll Do:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, maintaining vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations. Your work will make a meaningful impact by supporting our mission to provide high-quality care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently, including verifying invoices, coding expenses to the appropriate accounts, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and organized vendor files, including W-9 forms and vendor contracts.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and reconciling accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed to support the finance team.

What You'll Bring:
Qualifications of an Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in the healthcare or long-term care industry is a plus.
