Senior Finance Manager - Small Business Bank
Manage a team of 2 – 5 associates to provide financial oversight to Small Business Bank, including managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, developing methodologies and processes that provide transparency for cost / revenue drivers, and analyzing current financial results to identify evolving business risks and opportunities. Ownership of Short- and Long-Term Financial Planning, including model creation, consolidation of results, and overall coordination of the process. Other responsibilities include reviewing and approving investment analysis to help achieve strategic objectives.
The role requires strong leadership, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:
- Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights
- Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization
- Develop presentations to communicate business and financial results to senior leadership audiences
General Responsibilities:
- Financial analysis & reporting: Accurately analyze & explain key cost / revenue drivers monthly, suggest actions to the business, and manage monthly reporting processes
- Executive business presentations: Assist in development of financial presentations to clearly communicate business performance to senior audiences
- Budgeting, forecasting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management
- Ad-hoc financial requests and analysis
- Independently manage, prioritize, and delegate tasks
- Manage and develop associates
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in financial analysis & modeling
- At least 4 years’ of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- At least 1 year of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- 6+ years’ experience in financial analysis & modeling
- 5+ years’ experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function
- 2+ years of people management experience managing both direct and indirect reports
