The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst at Xylem. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the overall forecast and budget for the Xylem HQ Functions, ensuring a clear understanding of all variances, and critically evaluating input. You will collaborate with functional leaders, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements, and drive a continuous improvement culture with a focus on automation and simplification. Core Responsibilities:
- Forecasting and Budgeting: Support the overall forecast and budget for the Xylem HQ Functions by understanding revenue, margins, expenses, capital, special projects, headcount, etc. Ensure clear understanding of all variances and critically evaluate input. Key Result: All variances from forecast, budget, and prior year can be adequately explained, and improvements can be made to enhance future forecast accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements for headquarters and internal Senior Leaders.
- Collaboration: Partner with functional leaders to prepare forecasts and budgets.
- Variance Analysis: Prepare and review monthly variance analysis with functional partners.
- Continuous Improvement: Create and drive a continuous improvement culture with a focus on automation and simplification.
- Accounting Partnership: Partner with the Americas Accounting organization to ensure any accounting treatment impacts are accurately and adequately forecasted and understood.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Handle ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Additional Duties: Perform additional duties and responsibilities based on organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance/accounting with a minimum of 2 years of business experience.
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
- Skills: Ability to engage business process owners in a direct yet professional manner, thoroughly evaluate business processes, and quickly identify potential control gaps. Demonstrated skill in written and oral communications. Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and OneStream skills. Oracle/SAP knowledge preferred.
- Attributes: Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized. Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated.
Salary range:
$70,500.00 - $126,500.00
