Main Responsibilities
Work within the team to produce the monthly management accounts in a timely manner. This will include:
- Completion of assigned balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner. Investigate reconciling entries.
- Assist in producing monthly management accounts. To include, but not limited to, posting journal entries, and reviewing transactional data to ensure accurate reporting.
- Any further analysis as required by the Finance Manager.
- Process sales invoices in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with group approval policies.
- Review sales taxes status and contact customers with any issues. Organize sales tax exemption certificates where applicable.
- Control and monitor customer accounts and reconcile sales ledger.
- Update weekly cash flow reporting with collections efforts and backlog movements.
- Ensure accounting records are organized and up to date. Set up and maintain permanent files.
- Data preparation and clean up to support implementation of a new ERP system.
- Financial analysis as required. Work with accountant to reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
- Inter-company invoicing and monthly reporting.
- Hourly time sheet data entry as needed.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly forecasting and annual budget process.
- Ad hoc finance support as required.
Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities
- To comply with STATS and Client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Ensure all accidents / incidents / near misses / hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industry experience (must include accounts receivable/payable and general ledger experience).
- Familiarity with Accounting/ERP systems.
- Competent in the use of Excel.
- Skills using all Microsoft packages.

- Environmental Awareness.
- STATS Internal Courses – Basic and Intermediate Level.
