The Staff Accountant performs beginning to moderately complex financial analyses to summarize current and projected organization financial position. Performs activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.

Prepare and/or record journal entries related to balance sheet and income statement activity according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies
Create analytical schedules supporting financial statements, audits, initiatives, ad hoc requests, etc.
Reconcile all assigned balance sheet accounts and perform financial statement variance analysis
Maintain various accounts related to treasury and banking, including setting up ACH and wire payments and daily cash schedules
Maintain certificates of insurance and respond to requests for certificates to internal and external parties
Communicate and/or follow company policies and procedures

Requirements

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
2-3 years of experience
