General Summary
Provide business planning and risk support to designated management groups for a broad range of financial and business issues with a moderate level of independence. Respond to budgetary and financial challenges while being proactive to addressing business needs. Analyst role is responsible for collecting and analyzing data, such as sales or cost numbers, conducting market or industry research, and helping the agency make the right decisions from a financial and risk perspective by applying risk assessment principles.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Perform The Following Financial Business Planning And Risk Functions
- Budget development and budget change management and senior management financial reporting.
- Organizational cost performance vs. budget variances and cost trends and analysis.
- Coordinate, monitor project schedule/scope/cost changes to project managers and plant management.
- Support the Columbia Station (CGS) Long-range Plan (LRP) used to determine Capital and Expense projects that populate the LRP in accordance with procedure requirements.
- Assist or perform project coordination activities as required to support development and ongoing maintenance of the annual project lists. Leverage existing solutions to ensure activities are efficient, complete, and accurate.
- Risk assessment development and monitoring of key risk activities.
- Understanding of Change Management process.
- Intrapersonal/Interpersonal proactive collaboration within department and external customers.
- Collect, evaluate, and maintain data and analytic tools related to financial data across the agency.
- Work within the organization to establish, maintain and continuously improve data analytics capabilities.
- Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create reports for internal teams and/or external clients.
- Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data.
- Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data.
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
- Structure large data sets to find usable information.
- Work with a team of analysts and other associates to process information.
- Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings.
Perform special assignments using knowledge gained through experience and education. Conduct benchmarking studies for business-related issues.
Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated. Must support the biennial refueling outage.
Required Education And Experience
Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 6 years of industrial level experience working with financial/accounting/budgeting/risk position, preferably within a large company or profit center,
OR an AA degree and 8 years of industrial level experience working with financial/accounting/budgeting/risk position, preferably within a large company or profit center,
OR a High school diploma or GED and 10 years of industrial level experience working with financial/accounting/budgeting/risk position, preferably within a large company or profit center.
A Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance from an accredited college or university can be substituted for two years of experience.
Pay Range
Salary
$81,862 - $122,792
Midpoint: $102,327
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Incentive Compensation
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
This role is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
