Advisory will drive requirements gathering sessions in project meetings with the client and work with cross-functional client stakeholders to complete application requirements and scoping. This is a key role focused on championing and establishing product requirements and ensuring that the organization is prepared for new products and product launches. As a Business Analyst on this team, you will interact with Team Leadership as well as multiple Subject Matter Experts and technical teams to draw out business requirements, create functional and design documents, and prepare all necessary User Interface designs (wireframes).
What Will You Do- Formulate and define Business Requirements & Use Cases
- Create collateral such as reference docs, user guides, etc. in support of the products and solutions
- Document functional requirements and determine complexity of work for applicable projects
- Work with Solutions Consultants and Solutions Architects to create proposal documents and requirements templates
- Provide analysis to resolve production issues and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Participate in product demos and requirements process
- Participate in Agile development activities such as stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint retrospective, continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration; serve as ScrumMaster
- Gather and document requirements and high-level estimates for defect fixes and enhancements
- Work with cross-functional client stakeholders to complete application worksheets and customizations scoping
- Work closely with Technical, QA and Business Teams in explaining the requirements and provide functional guidance
- Research, gather, articulate, refine and document business/technical requirements
- Create and manage the progress of Product backlog Items
- Attend and record discussions for regular project meetings
- Document and execute acceptance criteria
- Act as a liaison between Developers, Operations, and Product Management
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of Company standard development tools, programming languages, system design concepts, and analysis techniques
- Analyze client-reported issues and help Support Team in designing/implementing and testing fixes; conduct preliminary functional testing and prepare Help/Support Documentation for new features/fixes
- Use JIRA to manage Sprints – create Stories, coordinate with the Scrum Team to assign/update tasks; participate & contribute in functional framework discussions
What Will You Need To Have- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science
- Minimum of 5 years of Business or Systems analysis experience including some involving large, complex software solutions
- Strong technical knowledge and experience working in Software Development teams
- A solid understanding of the methodologies surrounding the SDLC; working knowledge of JIRA
- A working knowledge of web-based and middleware technologies (J2EE, XML, JSON)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Ability to work with globally dispersed teams
What Would Be Great To Have- Strong Communication, Presentation, and Writing Skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across multiple software products
- Experience working in financial domains (banks, credit unions)
- Scrum Methodology
- Experience in working on projects involving technology modernization and cloud adoption
