The position of Senior Analyst, Credit and Insurance works within the Regional Shared Service Center, supporting all North American entities: four US entities with 2,784 active buyers totaling $491m, and 3 Canadian with 1,180 active buyers totaling $71m. As a member of the RSSC credit team, your primary responsibility will be working with our insurance company, various collection agencies, and internal and external stakeholders. This role would focus on auditing current coverage, managing claims, and the coordination of collection efforts with our third-party collection agencies for both insured and non-insured accounts. This individual would perform buyer reviews, as well as report on delinquent accounts to stay compliant with our insurance policy. Lastly, this position would also entail credit analysis of existing customers. This position reports to the Credit Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a close relationship with our credit insurance company by reviewing, analyzing, and submitting customer information, daily.
- Audit DSV customer data to eliminate accounts with insurance that are no longer using DSV.
- Compare Insurance and DSV customer data to ensure the insurance granted matches the DSV ERP system.
- Perform Buyer Reviews within the Atradius portal to stay compliant with our insurance policy.
- Correspond with various departments within DSV to advise when insurance is withdrawn or has expired.
- Manage the "Notice of Non-Payment Report" to Atradius monthly.
- Work closely with Atradius Claims department to make sure all claims are reviewed and settled timely.
- Work closely with DSV outside Collection Agencies to ensure all paperwork is transferred over, followed up on and closed in a timely manner.
- Legal involvement, if an account is placed for collections, coordinating with our in-house legal counsel to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Bankruptcy cases would also be coordinated within this role, from Proof of Claim filing to working with in-house counsel to mitigate potential loss.
- Reporting weekly to direct supervisor and management on all outside claim/collection efforts.
- Conduct credit investigations and analyze diverse credit information sourced from DSV historical internal data and external credit sources.
- Support continuous review of credit limits and terms to ensure current customer volumes are in line with established customer profile.
- Supporting the addition of customers into the ERP system upon acquisition.
- Support Credit Supervisor with month-end reporting and credit risk reduction projects, while mentoring new staff members as needed.
Skills:
- Five years of progressively-responsible experience in a credit department preferred.
- Must demonstrate advanced Excel skills, particularly V-Lookup/Pivots/Formulas.
- Experience analyzing D&B and Credit Risk Monitor credit report data for B2B credit decisions preferred.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to all levels of management.
- Must have excellent analytical skills and demonstrate creative thinking in problem-solving.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise independent judgment and analysis.
- Must present a professional, business‑like manner and excellent customer service skills.
- SAP experience preferred.
For this position, the expected base pay is: $71,000 - $106,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
