Senior Auditor
Location: Brick Township area
Salary: DOE, Base plus bonus

Our client, a well-respected NJ based public accounting firm, has an opening for a Senior Auditor with at least 2 and preferably up to 5 years of recent public accounting experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit teams through the planning, fieldwork, and report writing phases of audit engagements. In addition to leading audit teams, the Senior Auditor will take the lead in other assurance service engagements, including financial statement reviews and agreed-upon procedures. A successful Senior Auditor will possess strong skills in team leadership, verbal and written communication, organization, time management, and multitasking.
Senior Auditor Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and nurture strong working relationships with clients and peers.
- Identify clients needs/opportunities, and manage the implementation of solutions for clients.
- Work as an effective team member to complete project assignments and engagement tasks.
- Coach team members, providing feedback, recognition and encouragement.
- Draft reports, financial statements, related disclosures, and client communications.
- Perform a detailed review of the team's work to ensure quality and thoroughness.
- Provide timely and high-quality services and work products that exceed client expectations.
- Pursue development of individual technical knowledge, competence and leadership skills.
- Actively identifies opportunities for improvement and support new initiatives.
Senior Auditor Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- At least 3 and preferably up to 5 years of experience in public accounting working in an assurance services role.
- Strong understanding of assurance services.
- Knowledge of Employee Benefit Plan audits a plus.
- Non-profit experience a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience in performing audits of closely held corporations, municipal corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans.
- CPA license.
- Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and research abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and work necessary hours to meet deadlines.
