Amazon’s Devices & Services organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Devices and Services FP&A team. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most innovative, creative and fastest growing businesses at Amazon, which includes products like Alexa, Ring, FireTV, Kindle products and many more. The successful candidate will have financial reporting experience, an operationally focused mindset and is interested in working in a fast paced, global organization. This role is expected to build a deep understanding of financial planning, reporting and analytics specifically in the Units, Revenue and Gross Profit space. Additionally, this role requires regular interaction with leadership from various product lines across the Devices and Services (DaS) organization and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Device Product lines to lead the Devices and Services Inventory Valuation process
- Lead various financial reporting items including Daily Revenue Reporting and Board reports
- Own various assumptions as well as the output of the financial forecast and planning process
- Be the expert in all financial planning tools used to forecast Units / Revenue and Contribution profit
- Partner with the FinTech team to drive process improvements efficiencies, reduce effort and cycle times, and improve insight
- Create reporting that provides transparency and insights on key financial metrics to the Devices & Services leadership team.
This role will sit in Amazon's HQ2 in Arlington, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse
- Experience working with stakeholders
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results and strong ability to work with business leaders to deliver results, including the ability to influence with data
