Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting our accounting operations by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and SOX requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The role will report to the Director of Accounting, Consolidations and Reporting.
Job Responsibilities and tasks
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts. Perform regular reconciliations and ensure accuracy of entries.
- Compliance with applicable/assigned SOX controls.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required by senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Assist at quarter end and year end in the creation of financial statements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience; Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Big 4 accounting experience preferred.
- CPA preferred.
