We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst as part of our SQL and Power BI Reporting team within the Financial Planning and Analysis department.

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for creating and supporting data quality standards and documentation, as well as aligning and prioritizing profitability reporting needs with data engineering solutions. The candidate will be using SQL heavily to validate, research issues, and generate reporting from optimized datasets that allow the bank to analyze profitability – by account, customer, segment, and more – to help inform strategic decisions and drive results. The resulting datasets and reporting are utilized by more than a thousand people at all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
- Experience using SQL to query and manipulate large data sets.
- Specific knowledge of relational databases and general knowledge of data warehouse processes.
- Experience with process documentation, data validation and testing, and technical writing.
- Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools to build meaningful, complex reporting with optimized data models.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps or other low-code automation tools is a plus.
- General knowledge of banking products and financial statements is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a large variety of audiences, from finance to data engineers.
- Ability to find creative solutions to previously unsolved data and reporting problems.
- A desire and an ability to find ways to continually improve processes and drive efficiency.
- Ability to contend with competing demands and occasionally changing requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2-6 + years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (computer science, statistics, finance, etc.) is required.
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline may substitute for experience.
