Whitlock & Company, PC, is a growing CPA firm with offices in Alcoa/Maryville and Pigeon Forge, TN.
We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Tax team.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of tax specific experience. We are seeking a qualified professionals who not only possesses the technical skills, knowledge and experience required, but also has a positive attitude, confidence, and the ability to function well within a team environment to become a trusted advisor to our clients. Experience with Ultra tax, GoFileRoom, Checkpoint, CPA certification is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Review Individual and Business returns (S-Corporations, Partnerships, C-Corporations, Estate)
- Flexible enough to handle complex client engagements as well as routine tax and accounting work, both of which require hands-on problem-solving abilities and experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
- Provide small business consulting, advisory services, accounting, and strategic tax planning services for our business clients
- Research tax issues, review legislative developments, and assist in the analysis
- Contribute to client processes and technology improvements aimed at streamlining compliance and reporting.
- Interact directly with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise.
- Adheres to W&C defined processes and procedures including the firm's policy on privacy and client confidentiality. Knows and follows the rules, regulations, and the Code of Professional Conduct of the AICPA, the Tennessee Society of CPAs, the Tennessee Board of Public Accountancy, and other regulating bodies as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years Tax Experience
- CPA license or candidate
- Willingness to work on-site in the Alcoa office
