About The Role

The successful candidate should have worked as an Analyst previously at an established business or organization. They should possess solid technical expertise in formulating database designs, data models, data mining skills, and segmentation techniques. A solid grasp of reporting techniques, databases, and programming concepts is crucial for this role. Since this is a dynamic role, the candidate will continuously support existing vendor relationships, place bids to achieve business unit needs, analyze procurement data to determine best purchasing practices, resolve pricing conflicts, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. The best candidates will have experience with statistical tools such as Excel, Power BI, and API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the United Utility Fleet, Operations, Finance, Contracts, and Supporting Organizational Departments to drive the analytical development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support the Asset Manager on key initiatives and implementations.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities as a part of asset analysis and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Perform analytical reviews, arithmetic checks, and audits of all fleet-related data within the Fleet Management, Telematics, and Fuel Card Systems.
- Responsible for CapEx Corporate Purchasing, i.e., Large/bulk volume supplier requisitions and tracking.
- Support process improvement initiatives to make effective changes in the areas of fleet management, asset forecasting, tracking, reporting, compliance dashboards, etc.
- Provide Administrative Support to all fleet-related software i.e., Fleet Management, Telematics, Fuel Card, and Power BI Systems.
- Build Fleet Specific Power BI Dashboards.
- Prepare/Support Internal Project Review presentations for management.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, or a degree in mathematics from an accredited institution or its equivalent.
- 3-5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills and the ability to create effective solutions.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with varying priorities and due dates.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, verbally and in writing, to interact with internal and external audiences and peers.
- Advanced competency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Excel Queries, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, and API integrations.
- Proficiency in mathematics with the skill to translate complex mathematical information into understandable reports.
- Ability to successfully work independently, in working groups, and with B2B Suppliers.
- Experience in contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
- Exchange and update data and information with suppliers to ensure up-to-date and accurate information is kept.
- Facilitate conference calls/meetings with Suppliers as needed.
- Basic knowledge of the contracting life cycle, specifically the RFI, RFQ, and RFP contractual processes.
- Desire to learn, develop new skill sets, and professionally grow.
Additional Information:
- This position works closely with the United Utility business units.
- This is generally a Monday through Friday with traditional business hours. The work hours will be determined through collaboration with the hiring manager.
- This position requires limited travel to attend meetings or perform work at locations outside the office.
