Job Title: Senior Human Resources Business Partner - Functions
What we’re looking for:
Looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner who administer human resources policies and programs, balancing employee advocacy and business operating needs. Promote equity, fair treatment, and positive employee relations and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws. Provide comprehensive HR support, directly or indirectly to a designated client group in the area of recruitment and retention of critical talent, continuous performance coaching and management, pro-active issue/problem identification and resolution, and coaching and development for more effective leadership decision and communication skills. Understand and support the accomplishment of business priorities. Build credible relationships with Business Leaders allowing for better decisions and organizational effectiveness. Involved in solving complex HR-related issues. Work independently with minimal guidance. May act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
What you will be responsible for in this role:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Serve as a trusted business partner and coach for leadership at all levels providing feedback to leaders on how they can be more effective in communicating priorities, setting expectations, providing resources, removing barriers to success, giving feedback (both good and bad), recognizing great performance and holding employees accountable when their performance is not meeting expectations.
- Partner with department leadership to determine staffing requirements; manage the staffing process for both full-time and temporary resources. Conduct org designs as required to ensure the organization is right-sized and staffed with appropriate resources to deliver on business commitments
- Drive the effective execution of the annual performance management and merit increase process for assigned client groups. Conduct salary and wage analysis as needed.
- Be a trusted employee advocate for front line employees; serve as the first point of contact for employees for all HR-related issues and questions.
- Lead HR process improvement initiatives as assigned; work with other members of the HR team to create and implement consistent HR processes, practices and policies (onboarding, exiting, staffing, attendance, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Be a constant visible presence with assigned client groups to maintain a pulse of the organization and provide feedback and recommendations to department leadership. May require flexible hours to ensure coverage of all shifts.
- Lead HR process improvement initiatives as assigned; work with other members of the HR team to create and implement consistent HR processes, practices and policies (onboarding, exiting, staffing, attendance, etc.)
What are the basic qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum seven (7+) years’ relevant experience as a Human Resources Business Partner, Generalist, or comparable role.
- Must have unrestricted US work authorization.
What are the preferred qualifications?
- PHR or SPHR certified.
- Experience providing HR support in a production / manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
