We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Consultant to join our dynamic team at a leading distribution company in Irvine, CA. This role offers the unique opportunity to directly report to the Corporate Treasurer and play a pivotal role in our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to financial inquiries, including check verifications and cancellations via bank portals.
- Upload and manage simple journal entries with no specific software requirements.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to prepare monthly bank compliance schedules.
- Contribute to period-end closings with account reconciliations, analysis, and journal entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting for accounts receivable bank financing.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for informed management decisions.
- Support cash management activities, including electronic check deposits and ACH payments.
- Assist in the annual external audit and other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
- 3 to 6 years in general accounting, bank reconciliations, treasury, and financial reporting. Public accounting experience can substitute for 1 to 2 years of job experience.
Your Skills:
- Proficiency in Lawson accounting software is a plus, but not required.
- Exceptional skills in Excel for financial preparations and submissions.
- Proven ability to handle period-end financial tasks and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills for accurate financial reporting and decision-making support.
