Job Description
Role Title: SAP Materials Management – Techno – Functional Consultant
Reports To: Department Head
Function/Department: FINMA
Designation: DM/MGR
1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP MM including both Procurement and Inventory Management as per Business Requirement.
- Collaborate with Core Business and SAP IT teams along with SI Partner for implementation of MM module as per Project Plan. Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, warehousing, and finance, to understand business requirements and align and integrate SAP MM with other SAP modules and external systems.
- Develop and implement SAP MM strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance procurement efficiency, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Map business requirements, processes, and objectives, identify gaps and issues; develop necessary product modifications and provide work-around solutions adopting SAP standard functionality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in procurement and inventory management.
- Monitor and analyze SAP MM system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements or customizations.
- Ensure the implementation of SAP MM modules, including system configuration, integration with other modules, and data migration for masters as well as transactions including cutover strategy.
- Integrate with sourcing systems like ARIBA, Enovia, Vistex (SAP ++ Solution for Retrospective Price amendment) and Vendor portal.
- Validate Functional Specification Document prepared by SI partner from sustainability and business requirement fulfilment perspective ensuring minimal impact on core customization.
- Document functional designs, UAT test cases, scripts, and results.
- Impart understanding of Functional Specification Document to development team for development.
- Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
- Participate actively in testing phases, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex issues and troubleshoot problems related to SAP MM functionality.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in SAP MM and proactively suggest innovative solutions to improve business processes.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end-users on SAP MM functionality and best practices.
2. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- BE/BTech/MBA/MCA Full-Time Education.
- SAP Certification in MM.
Work Experience
- 6-8 years of experience as SAP MM Senior Consultant.
- Minimum 2 SAP MM module implementations, preferably in the Automotive sector.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP MM Configuration, Master Data, and Integration with other SAP Modules.
- Participate in requirements gathering discussions with clients and clearly document the business requirements and perform fit-gap analysis.
- Document and perform functional testing to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the solution.
- Provide training support to end users on SAP MM module.
- Proven ability to configure SAP solutions and experience with planning and participating in SAP blueprinting and design discussions.
- Experience in Global template implementation and rollout will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of other modules (e.g., FICO, SD, EWM) with respect to Materials Management will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of conversion tools (BDC, LSMW, LTMC, etc.).
- Knowledge of Interface with 3rd Party systems using PO/PI, CPI, CIG.
- Ariba and Sourcing system integration.
- Experience in BTP, RPA implementation, FIORI Apps, and Dashboards.
- Experience in handling complex Purchase Order pricing with retrospective Price amendments, Gate Entry, and Goods Receipt process.
- Master Data Preparation, Validation, and Execution.
