Summary
The Human Resources Generalist & Business Partner will partner with the leadership team to coach and direct employee engagement, hire and interview staff, administer pay, benefits, performance management, personal leave management, and provide guidance on company policies and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partnering with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's talent strategy particularly as it relates to production goals, current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, cross training and succession planning.
- Being highly visible throughout the business and addressing employee issues with patience and empathy.
- Driving HR metrics including turnover, retention, headcount, and open positions.
- Coaching employees to achieve their goals within the organizational structure.
- Acting as liaison between all employees and management to address opportunities, concerns, issues, and challenges.
- Promoting and cultivating a positive and productive culture through effective best practices.
- Identifying interpersonal conflicts, mediating successful resolutions, and monitoring outcomes to prevent reoccurrence.
- Facilitating employee training as needed.
- Providing support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Partnering with Corporate Recruiters to manage the talent acquisition process, which may include supporting recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Supporting Annual Employee Engagement Survey, Focus Groups and action plan process.
- Overseeing employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, and reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory changes.
- Coordinating employee activities with the Employee Engagement Committee throughout the year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of three to five years of human resources generalist experience and a proven track record as an HR Business Partner.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).
- Strong employee support and communication skills.

- Effective interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
