SUMMARY: We are partnering with a boutique transaction advisory firm providing comprehensive due diligence services which supports companies on both the buy-side and sell-side. These services include assessing a company’s quality of earnings and assets, analyzing cash flows, reviewing working capital, identifying key business drivers, reviewing forecasts, and conducting comprehensive discussions with management and their advisors.
They have an entrepreneurial-minded, laid-back corporate culture made up of a team of professionals. The role is open due to the tremendous amount of growth they have been experiencing due to their high touch / high value services which have been in high demand from their established relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support core financial due diligence efforts by identifying key risks, potential deal risks, and evaluating the business's strengths and weaknesses.
- Aid in assessing potential transactions in line with clients' investment strategies.
- Examine comprehensive financial statement data, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key operational metrics.
- Compile data into actionable insights to drive discussions with management, summarizing key findings and conclusions.
- Evaluate the target company's accounting policies, internal controls, and resulting reports.
- Contribute to the creation of financial due diligence reports and client presentations that underscore key financial, business, and other findings related to target companies.
- Assist in identifying issues to be included in the client's sale/purchase agreement and provide other negotiation points.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and client personnel, serving as a resource for clients.
- Help prepare Quality of Earnings analyses and income statement assessments.
- Assist in preparing Quality of Net Assets (Balance Sheet) and Working Capital analyses.
- Aid in building and maintaining client relationships and a referral partner network.
EXPERIENCE:
- 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2-5 years of experience in a public accounting, transaction advisory, investment banking, or financial analysis environment.
