Description
General Functions and Scope: Achieves targeted and agreed-upon sales goals (volume and gross margins) to get new and repeat clients in ways that generate the income needed for a healthy department and company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Effectively follows successful sales processes that ensure the customer has an excellent buying experience, including the timely completion of all paperwork.
- Sets and monitors progress toward agreed-upon sales goals and manages/prioritizes work to achieve progress toward yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily sales goals against key performance indicators.
- Actively seeks, identifies, and obtains new prospects in ways that lead to increased sales.
- Builds and maintains positive customer relationships to strengthen customer loyalty and company reputation.
- Successfully maintains and enhances ongoing customer relationships through timely follow communications that lead to repeat business per company policy, including in-process, current, and past customers.
- Proactively supports and works with other employees, departments, and/or locations to give the customer a seamless experience in ways that promote teamwork.
- Shares, mentors, encourages, and acknowledges other salespeople and departments in meeting the needs of all stakeholder groups.
- Continually improves personal selling capabilities in order to respond to customer needs in a more effective manner.
- Continually learns and applies new selling skills, strategies, and techniques on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Develops and maintains a high level of product, market, and industry knowledge.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understands and has a good knowledge of the RV industry.
- Superior customer service skills, practices active listening.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Good understanding of business principles.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; college preferred.
- Prior successful selling experience in the RV, automotive, or motor sports industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Works in outdoor or indoor environments in all weather conditions.
- May be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds.
