As a Medicaid provider and vendor of the state’s In-Community Program, Supreme Consultants aids in addressing the need to provide professionals and para-professionals with the linguistic and cultural competence skills often required by families coming from other parts of the globe. We provide a cognitive behavioral therapy approach, among others, to aid children and their families in addressing troublesome issues.
Children and their families are seen in the comfort of their homes at a time that is mutually convenient for both the clinicians and families. Youth typically undergo sessions once or twice a week for an average period of approximately 12 weeks. Each service provider’s goal is to assess the child and his/her family, execute a treatment plan and work with a team (composed of a mentor, behavioral assistant, clinician, case manager, and possibly others) to reach certain goals.
Supreme Consultants provides the following services:
- Intensive In-Community Services (IIC): Therapeutic services intended for the restoration of a youth's functional level after a decline related to a behavioral health episode or a significant life stressor or trauma. These services are provided by licensed practitioners and may include individual and/or family therapy interventions.
- Behavioral Assistance (BA): A process of intervention and ongoing evaluation resulting in effective modification of a youth's identified behavior(s). The services involve applying positive behavioral principles within the community, using culturally based norms to foster behaviors that are rehabilitative and restorative.
- Mentoring: A person who can be a positive role model for a child and spend quality time with a child and offer support, encouragement, and fun.
- BioPsychoSocial Assessment (BPS): An assessment authorized by PerformCare or our providers in order to make an accurate evaluation of your child's needs and the most appropriate resources or services. This means a licensed clinician will meet in person with you and your child to collect more information.
- Psychological Evaluations: A psych evaluation observes and measures a person’s behaviors, thoughts, and emotions to determine a diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan.
- Psychosexual Evaluation: Focuses on a person’s psychological and sexual functioning. This evaluation examines the person’s sexual interests, attitudes, and behaviors to see if there are deviancy issues. It also evaluates the person’s risk of re-offending or acting out sexually in the future.
- FireSetter Evaluations: An evaluation that may use a variety of instruments that are available to determine the depth of the youth's experience with fire setting and their risk level for repeating the behavior.
- Tutoring: A tutor is someone who helps a student understand the material they are learning and gives additional, special, or remedial instruction.
- Interpreting Services: Translating a foreign language, as in a conversation between people speaking different languages.
- PARENTING SKILLS:
- Nurturing Parenting: A family-centered trauma-informed initiative designed to build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglecting parenting and child-rearing practices.
- Parent Mentoring: Helps parents and caregivers gain the knowledge and skills required to raise emotionally, psychologically, and physically healthy children.
