This temporary position is located in Raleigh - Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.38 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Adult Correction. This position is located at 2211 Schieffelin Rd. Raleigh, NC 27502.
This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, and shipping of medical, pharmaceutical, and medical canteen supplies; entering stock replenishment requisitions; filing, checking and posting of usage orders; emergency direct issues of product to facilities; maintaining perpetual inventory control; conducting monthly cycle counts and yearly inventory; and shipping of Apex Central Pharmacy medications and supplies. This position will work Monday through Friday during the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. This position will have a 31 day leave of 5/1/24 through 5/31/25.
This position is recruiting for two positions: Job# 22836 and 22837.

- Considerable knowledge of cataloguing inventory techniques.
- Considerable knowledge of packaging and shipping procedures and practices (i.e., shrink wrap, etc.).
- Considerable knowledge of computerized procurement/inventory systems.
- Considerable technological knowledge and ability to operate a computer (including Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Ability to maintain accurate and legible inventory records.
- Ability to operate appropriate warehouse equipment (i.e., pallet jack, forklift, etc.).
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to make rapid and accurate mathematical calculations.
- Ability to assign, supervise and review the work of staff and to manage processes effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and others as appropriate.
- Physical strength to lift and move relatively heavy objects (i.e., furniture).
