As a Case Investigation Consultant within Risk and Compliance Investigations, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining a secure and compliant environment. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to investigate instances of fraud and money laundering ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. You will also handle Financial Ombudsman Service complaints, manage diverse communication channels, and provide exceptional compliance experiences.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate closely with Internal and External stakeholders
- Investigate instances of fraud, money laundering, and credit bureau disputes.
- Handle Financial Ombudsman Service complaints in accordance with Financial Conduct Authority Handbooks.
- Manage diverse communication channels with internal stakeholders and customers.
- Provide exceptional compliance experiences while balancing business needs through evidence-based decision making.
- Serve as an expert, delivering outstanding service to the business and our customers, and offering suggestions for process and procedure improvements.
What you'll bring:
- Investigation Skills: Proficiency in conducting thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, analysing data and identifying patterns or discrepancies.
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of compliance requirements and regulations. Familiarity with the Financial Conduct Authority rules and guidelines pertaining to financial services would be desirable.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to examine complex data and draw meaningful insights. Ability to think critically, solve problems and make informed decisions based on available information.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including team members, internal departments and external parties. Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness and a keen eye for detail when reviewing accounts, documents, evidence and reports to ensure accuracy and identifying any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Ethical Conduct: Maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct when handling sensitive information whilst adhering to data protection regulations.
Team Overview: Case Investigation The Case Investigation Team collaborates closely with various departments including Compliance, Fraud, Data Protection Team, Mobile Case Team, Legal, SPOC, and other relevant stakeholders. As a specialized function, our work encompasses a wide range of activities, requiring agility and the ability to handle multiple work streams while providing effective leadership.
Based in Livingston, our Risk and Compliance Investigation team play a critical role in delivering world class compliance and support to our customers and colleagues across the business.
