PerforMix Nutrition is seeking an additional team member for Ruminant Nutritionist Consultant, primarily for Eastern Idaho, Northern Nevada, Western Montana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop industry network
- Discover customer personality, needs, and bias
- Present PerforMix products and programs
- Close the sale
- Gather and submit information necessary to set up customer
- As required, update and improve customer-feeding program
- Provide on-site nutritional services (feed analysis, mixer studies, urinary pH, etc.)
- Help in training customer employees
- Help customer track performance and improvement
- Source information, people, and products that can stimulate customer improvement
- Maintain necessary customer files (computer and paper files)
- Work with Sales Manager to establish sales goals and budget
- Work with Sales Manager in establishing product margins for specific customers
- Work with administrative manager in establishing customer credit limits
- Work with customer service department in managing customer feed orders
- Interact with customer equipment department as required on customer equipment
- Work with Sales Manager on product and program development
- Attend company meetings as functions as requested by President
- Respond to requests of other department managers in a timely manner
- Help President as required in recruiting new PerforMix employees
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience:
Requires an undergraduate degree in Animal Science or similar. 2 to 5 years experience in ruminant nutrition background desired.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to understand and follow safety and SFSF standards and rules.
Computer Skills:
Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must have the ability to learn custom software programs.
Certificates and Licenses:
ARPAS or equivalent
