This position could work out of WSP's offices in Arlington, VA; Bethlehem, PA; Boulder, CO; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA. Other WSP office locations or remote options may be considered for an exceptional candidate.
The individual will support a client–facing team in the design, implementation, and management of sustainability and resilience programs for a variety of clients, Global 100 corporations. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility and capacity to work on a wide variety of projects and the demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams. Candidates should be passionate about sustainability and climate resilience, self-motivated and self-directed, collaborative, and able to produce high-quality work products.

Your Impact
Duties and Responsibilities
As a senior consultant, you will be expected to join and lead project teams, working under the guidance of experienced project leaders and subject matter experts to deliver sustainability solutions to our clients. Tasks will span a wide variety of disciplines and topics but are likely to include the following:
- Develop entity-wide sustainability data inventories and/or life cycle assessments for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources
- Conduct verifications of entity-wide inventories for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resources
- Develop and maintain data management systems and business intelligence tools
- Design sustainability or climate risk management performance targets with accompanying strategies and achievement plans
- Identify and evaluate tactics and measures for achieving energy, GHG, and other resource reductions
- Analyze energy efficiency measures and renewable energy procurement options
- Conduct climate- and water-related risk and opportunity assessments
- Research sustainability programs and initiatives
- Produce sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communications
- Support business development activities with existing and prospective clients
Who You Are
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience focused on sustainability, energy, climate change, and/or related environmental issues as a consultant, from within a corporation, or in another relevant context
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline required
- Demonstrated familiarity with some sustainability issues and frameworks such as supply chain management, circularity, LCA, CDP, GRI, TCFD, and/or the GHG Protocol.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, maturity, credibility, confidence, and integrity: ready to learn and work on a team
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas crisply and compellingly through Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to design, conduct and present quantitative analysis, using tools that may include Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BI
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and platforms
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of following sustainability issues and frameworks: supply chain management, circularity, LCA, CDP, GRI, TCFD, and/or the GHG Protocol

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $71,600 - $125,290
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $71,600 - $117,590
