We are seeking a Structurer for our Insurance Solutions Group, which will provide access to PIMCO's asset-based lending and private credit strategies to insurers, in a capital efficient manner tailored to their unique requirements. In this position the individual will perform the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES - Work with Product Strategy and Account Management to structure PIMCO managed alternative funds in order to optimize statutory and rating agency capital treatment for insurance company clients.
- Develop insurance wrapped PIMCO managed private funds, which allow insurance clients to participate in PIMCO's alternative funds in insurance form.
- Structure and source reinsurance transactions that lead to asset management contracts.
- Source potential investment opportunities in insurance liabilities.
REQUIREMENTS - Minimum of 7 years work experience, preferably in investment banking, insurance or asset management (realistically 10+ years).
- At least 5 years of experience in structuring transactions to optimize insurance capital requirements.
- Excellent quantitative/analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel, both internal and external.
- Highly organized.
- Natural curiosity for learning and for seeking exposure to new concepts.
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $305,000.00 - $360,000.00
